Besides a detailed product description, providing a complete idea of the design and functionality of the Dutch Number Portability solution, we defined the rules and agreements between all NP-participants. Therefore we had to describe the complete porting process and the interface between the participants and the Common Infrastructure, the Communication Module (COMO).

04.01 – 05.01 Quick Scan ENUM for the Dutch government (DGTP)ENUM, a protocol and a database that maps telephone numbers to Internet domain names, allows a phone number to also serve as the basis for someone's e-mail address. The key question was whether the Dutch government had to officially endorse ENUM. The focus was on the real value of ENUM and the generated potential benefits for all relevant parties. We defined the players (commercial, non-profit, government and end users) and their interests. The quick scan provided help for the preparation of a public consultation about the subject.

03.01 – 04.01 Interconnect business model for telecom operatorsDeveloping a business model for telecom operators. The 0800-0900 service numbers model shows financials for key call-flow scenarios. Telecom operators can use the insights on profitability per call flow to review their current call flows. The model can also be used to forecast costs and revenues based on total calls and total call-minutes.
