Covering General Management along with the continued finance responsibility (61 employees).
· Brought the local fully integrated (manufacturing marketing and selling) lubricants subsidiary to profitability in first year after 10+ years of substantial losses.
· Designed and implement new route to market strategy for main Bogotá market with a move to direct sales resulting in new major customers and a 50% increase in brand awareness.
· Direct negotiations with major customers leading to prestigious contracts with Mercedes Benz.
· Design and implementation of more focused product strategy with reduced SKU’s coupled with new supply agreements resulting overall in a 50% reduction in stock and a release of 33% of working capital.
· All of the above produced an increase in average unit US$ gross margins of 75% and volume of 50% over the four years.
· Substantial interim cover of Sales and Marketing and Supply Chain Manager positions and subsequent training of new appointees
· Led a regional multi-discipline multi-country project to harmonise sales reporting to an extremely tight deadline bringing it to fruition well within budget and timetable.
