Work Experience

Working experience Recently I was primary responsible, as a business unit manager to start up business in the Utility and Media industry for Syntegra Netherlands’s, strategically and operationally for a large team of project management, service management and interim management staff and the services product portfolio associated with this team as well as the implementation of the chosen methodology for these services known as ITIL for service management and PrinceII for project management, secondary I was responsible for the start-up of an new sales unit in the utilities and media sector to start selling the complete Syntegra product and services portfolio such as, resource solutions, managed services, co- en out-sourcing, helpdesk services, security and management solutions.
I started at Syntegra to act as an interim manager at the Dutch stock exchange to improve professionalism of the service operation team.
Before that I was strategically and operational responsible in Belgium and Luxembourg for the operational managed service unit of ICL BeLux. The task here was especially the change from a cost centre to a business unit mentality as well as the implementation of the service management tools. I was commercially involved and responsible for new long time type of service contracts for managed services.
Therefore I was an Account services manager for international clients at ICL in the Netherlands responsible for International service contracts, rollouts and responsible as an account management for international customers. Customers I use to work with in co – outsourcing projects as well as managing the networks are; KLM, GEP, Sabre, EDS (EBS), Amadeus, KPN, Unisource, Fortis, Nissan, KBB/Hema. Also I was responsible for the introduction and implementation of managed services in the ICL Netherlands organisation and the transformation of traditional service division into a commercial business unit.

Education

Education and Background A technical and business background. During a period of 7 years at the Royal Dutch Navy I gained my technical knowledge after that period I had a long carrier at a hardware supplier/system integrator. I followed a large number of technical IT and business training sessions in the area of mainframes, LAN/WAN, data communication and services. Beside the technical training sessions I have done a large number of skills trainings sessions, as there is international project-, change- en crisis management as well as management training on the leader academy given by the bureau Business-wise. During the recent period I studied the concepts and implementations on the concepts of TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) en ROI (Return On Investment), as well as the implementation of large scale Helpdesks (technical).

Skills

As well as crisis manager, change manager as commercial manager. Implemented transformations from platform oriented organisations to process oriented organisations and from reactive- to a pro-active organisation. . Preference for a position as international project manager, international contract/project management or commercial management, together with people management activities. Use to work wit teams of professionals in the second and third degree. Interested in the following business: Airline/Travel, Transport, Banking, Leisure en Services, IT and /or telecom.
