o With my previous employer, Direvo Biotech AG, I remained involved for a long time in the implementation of the Business Plan.
o For an US/EU consortium I successfully managed the development of a project plan and the filing of the application to the DOE
o For an EU based Biotech company a business plan was drafted and a collaboration agreement was sucessfully negotiated

• I was responsible for the development of the business strategy and the implementation.
• My goal was to change Direvo Biotech AG from a research service provider into a product based company
• The strategy developed has been approved by the 'board of directors'. Direvo recently closed a new financing round successfully, enabling them to execute the business plan fully. For each of the selected market segments detailed project plans have been developed for the product development projects. On a consultancy basis I remain involved with the implementation of the above

• As Director Product Management a led a team to develop product platform for a business unit, in order for all disciplines to commit to the strategy developed. In addition to coordinating the team I’ve developed and implemented a technology platform. I’ve introduced 'Knowledge Management' and 'Knowledge Teams' as a tool to create participation with all disciplines within the organization
• In addition all team-members have been trained in project management
• The successful introduction of platform strategies was followed by a re-organization after which the tools developed, where used to develop these platforms for the entire company. For two “new to the world technologies”, I’ve developed the platform strategies and supported a business unit responsible for the introduction into the market The availability of these technology and product platform strategies enabled amongst others portfolio management.

• During a short period, I acted as area sales manager. After my promotion to sales development manager I coordinated the activities of the area sales managers in miscellaneous industries in Europe and Asia
• In addition, I was responsible for developing the relationship with a key account in Europe
• Early 1997, I was promoted to global sales coordinator. In this job I led a international multi-functional team to coordinate all activities with this key account world-wide
• The result of this project was a multi-year contract, to date still regarded by Forbes as the biggest deal (600M€) in the biotech industry

 I was responsible for the sales of biocides and chemicals for process water treatment to the food processing industry. This function evolved into Technical Sales and the development of training programs for key accounts.
 During the last two years with this company I was a Product Manager for products for process water treatment for the food industry and products based upon organic solvents for the metal industry.
 This function I combined with a study “Business Management”. During this study, I was also responsible for a successful reorganization of the lab.
