Operations Manager Benelux - from 1991 to 1997 Danzas Solution:

Management and organisation of the different warehouses. Supervision of the transport and technical departments of the Solutions division in the Benelux.
Major task:
- supervision and support to solve daily operational problems
- optimisation of the organisation and working procedures
- starting up new customers, activities and warehouses
- introduce and implement new technologies
Other responsibilities: pallet management, sales support, employer representative in works council and member of the board.

Managing Director Benelux - from 1997 to 2000 - Danzas Eurocargo:

Direct profit responsibility for the rail and road
forwarding B.U. in the Benelux.
Reporting directly to BU head of Danzas in Basel(CH).
Member of the board, managing three different companies in the Benelux.
Major tasks:
- Restore in the Benelux the profitability of the European forwarding business.
- Adapt and integrate the different systems and locations.
- Transfer the total groupage business towards a partner and reshape the remaining parts into a specialised profitable Eurocargo business.
- Integration of new gained companies

Head of corporate LTL - from 1998 to 2000 (double function) - Danzas Managment HQ:

Manage the international groupage networks and monitor all operational issues between the Danzas countries as well as with corporate partners.
Assist the BU Head in the management of the Eurocargo activity.
Major challenges:
- Coaching of the co-operation between the different countries.
- Implementing new working methods, improve the network concepts and increase the quality of service.
- Leading the project to create the leading European LTL network and assist in the related project on the express network at our mother company.
- Responsible for the partner switches and strong. involvement in the integration of the new gained companies.

Head of Region West - from 2000 to 2001 Danzas Eurocargo:
Direct profit responsibility for the Eurocargo activities in Ireland, UK and the Benelux.
Reporting directly to BU head in Basel and part of the Eurocargo management team. Member of the board in different companies in the region.
Major tasks:
- Restore the profitability in Ireland
- Develop the newly integrated Chemicals activity as speciality in Europe
- Coaching of the co-operation between Danzas and the sister companies in the Region.

General Manager European Regions - since 2002 - ABX Logistics:

Direct profit responsibility for the total activities in Ireland, UK, Belgium, Netherlands,Iberia, Switzerland, Austria and Russia.
Reporting directly to CEO and member of the Executive Management team of ABX Logistics Worldwide.
President or board member in all companies in the region, inclusive some additional mandates in companies not directly under full management responsibility.
Major tasks:
- Achieve integration and turnaround in Netherlands, Iberia, UK and Ireland
- Develop the weaker Air and Sea activities in this region
- Restructure Domestic and contract logistics activities
- Run productivity and sales effectiveness programs through the whole group


General Manager Road - since 2003 in double function - ABX Logistics:

Responsible in HQ Brussels to develop and support the operations as well as the sales for road activities.
Manage the HQ road team and the European road workgroups and meetings.
Major tasks:
- Steer product and network development across Europe
- Initiate new service developments on overland business
- Assure the geographical extension in Europe through the own organisation or with partners
- Increase and monitor country road cooperation
- Initiate and strive for efficiency and quality improvements
