Praxair European Engineering Centre, Olen, Belgium – 1998 to 2009 Senior (Principal) Process Engineer
In this relatively small, flexible department (20-30 people) responsible for the execution of Praxair projects throughout Europe, I had dual roles.
Senior/Principal Process Engineer managing a small group of Process Engineers and covering all project phases from proposal through design, commissioning and start-up. Additional lead responsibilities include implementation of company HSE management systems, technical and safety audits, consultancy as air separation specialist to an IGCC operator. Projects cover H2/CO, CO2, cryogenic and non-cryogenic (VPSA) air separation units.

Simultaneously I had the following responsibilities:
Training Manager 2005 to 2009
Coordination of all matters related to training for all engineering personnel. Additionally perform training sessions on process engineering and on other areas of competence such as HSE, estimating techniques, etc. Act as mentor to younger engineers.

Proposal Manager 2003 to 2009
Cost estimates, preparation of technical/commercial proposals in support of Sales personnel.

Engineering Manager 1998 – 2003
Management of 15-20 specialist engineers assigned to project teams in matrix organisation.
