11/91 – 3/95 – Operations Manager, Bowater Ltd, Oxford & Glasgow - £7m T/O, 90 employees. Reporting to the Operations Director. Manufacturer of plastic containers.
• Project managed the building of 2 blowmoulding factories to time and budget constraints (Hole in the wall operations based on the Customers’ sites).
• Successful operational control of both factories running a J.I.T, Kaizen & 5S process.
• The recruitment and training of all employees.
• Production efficiencies consistently in excess of 95% and waste below 2%
• Successful accreditation of ISO 9000 in less than 12 months.
• Facilitated dual Company improvement teams resulting in considerably better supplier / customer relationship.
