Working for BT Advise Benelux (the consulting organization of BT Global Services, a multinational with appr. 110.000 employees and active in 170 countries), I performed several roles for internal customers:

05-2010 – 06 -2012, Strategic Vendor (Business) Manager, Barracuda Program, Global Vertical Health, BT Global Services
In my role as Strategic Vendor/ Supply Chain Manager within The Strategic Vendor Management department of the Barracuda Program, I was responsible for the suppliers in the region Europe, Russia and Africa. Since about June 2011, I had a worldwide responsibility for the suppliers of IPT and D/WLAN services provided to Novartis, the customer.

My activities consisted of: providing input on the departmental forecast, building up and maintaining supplier relationships, asset management, taking part in negations for contract renewals, initiating the development of contracts and their terminations, reviewing statements of works, solving issues on invoices to be paid, initiating purchase requests to be approved on local level, being a point of escalation for suppliers and the customer, carrying out cost reduction projects. Most of the activities mentioned, I carried out in close co-operation with the local Purchasing Departments.

11-2009 - 05-2010, Business Project Manager, Department Procurement, BT Global Services Benelux
As a Business Project Manager, I coordinated contracts on an international level between the local BT and supplier companies in the pre and post sales phase of a project in the area of video conferencing for the customer Philips.
08-2007 - 06-2009, Go-to- Market Manager, Department Product Management Benelux
For the department Product Management Benelux I managed several projects. The most important were:
• Launching point-to-aggregated Ethernet Access Service for MPLS for the Belgian market. This access was launched on a global level, and for the project it had to be implemented on a Belgium level.
• Enabling the Wholesale Voice Over IP Service with inbound traffic including automatic number porting. In order to accomplish this, the number porting processes between BT and the reseller needed to be automated by means of a website.
• Launching a new service regarding the monitoring of and reporting on the infrastructure and applications of customers, by means of implementing System Center Operations Manager of Microsoft. The project concerned a pilot on behalf of one customer.
• Recertification of the network and the organization of BT Benelux for Pin and Chipknip Payment Services via the BT network. An important milestone of the project concerned a meeting with Currence, the organization that needed to certify the network and organization.

For most of these projects OSS, BSS and CRM processes and systems (like Siebel CRM) had to be adjusted.
05-2008 - 08-2008, Go-to-Market Manager, Department Marketing Benelux
With the objective to provide customers of BT with invoices via the Internet, an e-billing web based service needed to be launched. I managed two subprojects consisting of two sub projects: a requirements gathering and communications project (using CRM systems, like Siebel CRM).

03-2007 - 08-2007, Business Project Manager, Department Program and Project Management Benelux
On behalf of two customers, I was involved at the outsourcing of the network and support organization to BT.

03-2005 - 03-2007, Project Manager/ Consultant, Yacht
At this organization I managed two projects for external customers during this period.
• 01-12-2006/ 15-02-2007, ABNAmro - Private Banking
Obtaining insight in the CRM processes of the several offices of the ABNAmro dealing with Private Banking. In this project I managed a consultancy project.
• 03-2005/ 10-2004 - Dutch Cancer Institute - Department of Medical Ontological Services/ Surge Logical Services
In order to optimize the nurses’ working processes, the nursery communications system needed to be improved.
Two representatives of the end users, an employee of the Technical Services Department, the ICT Department, a Functional Analyst and the Manager of the Purchasing Department were members of the project team. A vendor analyses and selection was part of the project.

For the manager of the Project Management unit at Yacht I worked for, I also played a role as a Consultant within the framework of professionalizing this unit. In this role took part in:
• Business planning of the unit.
• Developing and the implementing of an instrument that measures the added value of a project for an Interim Professional.

On behalf of this unit, I was also involved in coaching of Project Managers on several areas, such as reporting skills.
Another assignment I executed on behalf of the management of a region of Yacht, was the evaluation and defining "lessons learned" of a division of this region.

02-2003 - 03-2005, Freelance Project Leader/Consultant
During this period I managed two projects:

03-2004 / 11-2004 – SWP Publishing
This publisher with 20 employees wanted to improve its market and client orientation. My task was to define and implement improvement proposals on the area of (CRM) strategy, organizational structure, CRM systems and the human factor. With the business processes as a starting point, I was consultant to management during the process of defining and implementing the vision, mission, business and marketing planning. Next to this I consulted on the restructuring of the organisation.

07-2003 / 03-2004 - Dutch Lion Security
This company was starting-up in the security business and needed financing. Therefore a business plan and CRM strategy had to be developed and implemented. The development of this plan also included consulting on sales, marketing, organization and IT. The management of the company executed the business planning process. I had an advisory and a managing role in this project.

04-1998 - 02-2003, Management Consultant , CMG
At this organization I was involved in several projects:
12-2002 - 02-2003, Business Analist Siebel, Nuon N.V.
In order to have the acceptance of the Siebel CRM system that supported the sales process by the business increased, the quality of the data needed to be increased. One of my responsibilities was the development of a proposal for further increasing of the quality of the customer data.

07-2002 - 11-2002, Business Consultant Analytical CRM, CMG CRM Competence Centre Telecom
For the development of and introduction of CRM-solutions to the market by CMG Telecom, a quick scan on the area of analytical CRM software needed to be executed. My activities were:
• Executing a business analysis of the Telecom sector by means of desk research and interviewing suppliers and internal experts.
• Consulting and informing of the account management about the usage of analytical CRM software (including SAP CRM, Oracle CRM and Invensys CRM) within the sector.

Another activity was conducting a tendering process for one of the accounts of CMG Telecom.


08-2001 - 06-2002, CRM Trainer, CMG CRM Program/ Group Services
Within CMG Invensys CRM for supporting the sales process needed to be implemented. My activities consisted among other of CRM process and awareness sessions and training of end users (including the Benelux Board).

05-2001 - 07-2001, Business Process Auditor/ Project leader, KPN Telecom
In the context of a restructuring of the KPN organization processes and interface descriptions of the Internet Access and Internet Dial In Services needed to be audited. My activities consisted of:
• Consulting the management on changes of the descriptions and implementing these changes by means of workshops.
• Managing five process analysts for aligning the process and interface descriptions they developed.

01-2000 - 04-2001, Management Consultant, CMG Wireless Data Solutions - Support Office Department
At this organization, I executed several projects for the management of the organization:
• The development of a reference model in order to optimize the role of the department Product Management. With this reference model as a starting point I identified bottlenecks and developed proposals for improvement.
• The improvement of the internal ordering process of hardware for the department Purchasing and Logistics by means of developing and implementing an authorization matrix and an order form.
• Modeling the business planning process for the manager of the Support Office and further more supported at the development of the plan.
• Auditing a project concerning the unbundling of a SAP HR system for the Information Manager.

Next to the projects mentioned above, I developed a method for mapping processes to be used by the employees of the Support Office Department.

06-1999 - 12-1999, Business Consultant Payment Services, ABNAmro Global Transaction Services
With the objective to automize the sending of transactions to the Portuguese Clearing Institute by the ABNAmro Portuguese Branch office and the receipt of transactions by the same Branch office from the same Clearing Institute, I was involved in an international implementation project of middleware. My activities were:
• Developing business requirements.
• Executing a business acceptance test.

04-1999 - 06-1999, Business Process Consultant, KPN Telecom
In order to get the complaint process of the Corporate Account Department ISO certified, my activities concerned the modeling of this process.

08-1998 - 03-1999 Business Consultant Payment Services, ABNAmro Global Transaction Services
During this project, I supported the Customer Support Department by means of getting the payment systems regarding the customers General Electric, Unilever en Metro Y2K- and Euro compliant. Mijn activities concerned:
• Developing a test plan and test cases.
• Managing an employee of the Development Department at the execution of the tests.

08-1996 - 08-1998, Freelance Consultant
I executed three projects during this period:
03-1997 / 04-1998 - Hogeschool van Amsterdam, Staff department of Facility Services
As a staff member, I was responsible for developing and implementing a policy concerning the usage of mobile devices. Next to this I executed a predefinition study for developing a telecom control administration. Furthermore, I performed purchasing and logistical activities concerning telecom products and services and consulted internal customers on buying and usage of these products and services.

01-1997 / 02-1997, Media Management Services Inc.
For the introduction of Pay-Per-View services of a cable operator in England, I was responsible for customizing generic processes and procedures for the call centre of this operator. Next to this I developed a product-, sales and service training for the agents of this call centre.

08-1996 / 12-1996, Fource Consultancy B.V.
For this agency, I was responsible for executing a market research at 30 call centres and generating leads from these call centres. Project objective was to generate input for the services development process of an international employment agency. In this role I managed an assistant responsible for the execution of desk research.

12-1995 - 08-1996, Assistant-to-manager, Quality Consult
Setting up a call centre focussed on telesales, -service and –research.

06-1994 - 11-1995, Manager Telemarketing Department, Expotrade
Because of excellent results I became manager of this department. I managed three up and until seven employees.

Personal Interests

I love to play hockey and squash. In the social area I am a member of the Lions Club Gijsbreght van Aemstel
In this club I am in the lead of a "The Charity Committee", being active with mapping, selecting and consulting the club on charities to be served. Next to this, I am member of ‘De Industrieele Groote Club’ (IGC), a business club.
