Selected Accomplishments
•Facilitated international business growth by building and maintaining the global networks of business owners within Atos Origin for the areas: Enterprise Content Management, Supply Chain Management and Product Lifecycle Management.
•Initiating global alliances with strategic partners in the fields of ECM, SCM & PLM, with a strong focus on joint business development and sales.
•Established the Engineering & Industrial Solutions unit for Origin in the USA, resulting in a viable ($4 M) operational unit with a recognized strategic value for Origin’s $100+M business in the USA.
•Took the lead in the process to change a large Philips manufacturing organization from using in house developed ERP solutions to commercially available systems.
•Established the IT services and infrastructure for a large Philips development group in the USA, resulting in shorter time to market and higher product Quality.
•Successfully took the lead in the development of a leading edge analog circuit simulator, which has for more than 10 years been the basis for state of the art designs within Philips.

Work Experience
2000-present Atos Origin Global Consulting &Systems Integration , Brussels, Belgium
As Global Domain and Alliances Director successively responsible for the business domains Enterprise Content Management, Supply Chain Management, and Product Lifecycle Management. This responsibility included the initiation and successful execution of the asso-ciated global partnerships within these domains. As chairman of the global domain business teams responsible for creating the necessary business conditions to build a sizable and profit-able business for Atos Origin and its alliances in the domain.

1999-2000 Origin Technology in Business, Veldhoven, The Netherlands
As Bid Manager and Transition Manager responsible for the outsourcing of an ap-plication lifecycle management operation in the area of Product Design Engineering and Manufacturing with one of the global accounts of Origin. The geographic reach of the project was EMEA.

1996-1999 Origin Technology in Business, Santa Clara County, California.
As Director, Engineering & Industrial Solutions responsible for the startup and growth of this service line in the USA. The business unit was built from the ground up to a size of over 30 people, focused on product data management, engineering support, and mid-dleware solutions for data integration.
The Service line Engineering & Industrial Solutions (E&IS) was one of the global lines of business within Origin, at that time, a billion dollar Information Technology (IT) ser-vices company, largely owned by Philips Electronics. E&IS had its focus on the IT aspects of the product creation side of the business (Design Engineering and Manufacturing), and was considered a differentiator for Origin, able to bridge the gaps between Product Development, ERP, Manufacturing, and the Supply Chain.
Used the presence of the E&IS team in Silicon Valley to setup partnerships with local software vendors and to introduce the rest of Origin to several new technologies in the areas of PDM, middleware, and web based data distribution.
The work in Santa Clara has resulted in 1999 in recognition of the newly created business unit as a viable operational unit with strategic value for the Enterprise Solutions business within Origin.

1992-1996: Philips Consumer Electronics Company, Knoxville, Tennessee.
As manager of the Color TV Information Management group, responsible for the IT aspects of the product development and the industrial side of the business. The Color TV Information Management group consisted of the IT Support group in Juarez, Mexico, the Manufacturing Systems group in Greeneville, Tennessee, and the Engineering Information Systems group in Knoxville, Tennessee. During this period a significant first step was made in the long process to create acceptance for commercially available software solutions for critical Enterprise functions.
Prior to the work in the industrial side of the business, as manager of the Engineering Information Systems group, responsible for the deployment of the IT related changes in the product development process, and the buildup of the IT support team for the design engineer-ing community of 280 people. This has resulted, amongst other things, in the implementation of a Product Data Management solution that was instrumental in reducing the design cycle and that has dramatically reduced the error-related production cost.

1980-1992: Philips Electronics, Eindhoven, The Netherlands
Philips Research & Center for Manufacturing Technologies, approximately 3 years.
Group leader Engineering Databases group, responsible for the development, the introduction and the support of Engineering Data Management products for the international Philips organization.
Philips Corporate CAD Center, approximately 4 years.
Project/Product manager, responsible for the project to specify, produce and intro-duce the company\'s new analogue circuit simulation tool for the 90\'s. This project was charac-terized, at that time, as one of the few successful multi-Product Division projects in technical software development. The 25 man year software development project was completed in 2.5 years.
Philips ISA TIS/CARD, approximately 4 years
Software Engineer/Project leader. After a starting period as software engineer on analog circuit simulation packages, fully responsible for deployment of the main circuit analysis package in the company.

1978-1980: Algemeen Burgerlijk Pensioenfonds, Heerlen, The Netherlands
Technical Project leader, responsible for the design of a large, interactive database application to administer information on more than 1 million participants in the government pension fund. As a result, customer inquiries could be handled over the phone, as opposed to by mail.

1977-1978: Philips Electronics, Eindhoven The Netherlands
Software engineer, development of software packages for very complex simulations.
